SAAS

Full-stack tuning for a SaaS platform — measured, not guessed.

Server, network and database performance assessed against measured baselines and optimized end-to-end — restoring headroom without an infrastructure rebuild.

SaaS application performance optimization

BUSINESS REQUIREMENT

What the client needed

A growing SaaS platform was accumulating user-visible latency. The client needed a fact-based assessment across infrastructure, storage, network and database layers — and interventions ranked by measured impact, not vendor instinct.

WHAT WE FOUND

Findings on the ground

  • Compute stable overall, but utilization peaked mid-day; memory footprint had optimization headroom
  • Application-server disk latency exceeded the 2 ms threshold on a measurable share of operations
  • No network bottlenecks, but application-to-database traffic patterns could be streamlined
  • Large datasets, suboptimal SQL and missing foreign-key indexing were degrading query times
  • Database-level encryption gaps left exposure to interception-style attacks

WHAT WE DID

The engineering response

  • 30-day memory and swap telemetry enabled in the cloud platform to baseline actual utilization before any resizing
  • Disk logging and storage-tier improvements specified to bring latency inside threshold
  • Foreign keys indexed rather than removed — improving query execution while preserving referential integrity
  • Database-level encryption strengthened, with checksum-based file integrity verification added

OUTCOMES

What changed

Performance inside limits

CPU, memory and network held within thresholds with improved memory management.

Latency resolved

Disk latency brought under threshold, lifting file handling and query performance.

Faster queries

Indexing and foreign-key optimization cut SQL execution times across the application.

Hardened data layer

Strengthened encryption and integrity verification reduced breach exposure.
